Book(s): For Men Only

Amy and I recently finished reading two books, well one for her and one for me. ”For Men Only: A straightforward guide to the inner lives of women” and “For Women Only: What you need to know about the inner lives of men” by Jeff and Shaunti Feldahn. They were the kind of book you read and ultimately are challenged by – the kind that initiate relationship conversations that are awkward and difficult, but entirely necessary for growth in a marriage.
They did a great job of articulating some concepts and ways of thinking that I had struggled to understand about Amy…and the same was true in reverse from her book.
They are short, to the point and in the end very helpful books that you should pick up, like we did, at your local library to save a few bucks. But if you are rich, you can order them at Amazon.com

I just finished “7 Things He’ll Never Tell You (but you need to know)” by Kevin Leman. This book is also on how to know how to deal with your husband’s and how they think. Very good read!

The Valley of Vision: A Collection of Puritan Prayers and Devotions, edited by Arthur Bennett.
Shepherding a Child’s Heart, by Tedd Tripp–do I ever wish I’d read this book at the start of this trip versus the end…
White, by Ted DeKker
Oh, I found something even better than the cost savings of using the library…steal the books from your brother…by definition there is no due date for returning the book…
just kidding travis, I’ll send them back…

Husbands think? hmmm
and I’m not holding my breath for the books, but any book with ‘Vision’, ‘Collection’ and ‘Devotions’ in it must be good!
And ‘Shepherding a Child’s Heart just makes me feel terrible for all my mistakes. sigh. ok, I’ll go try to read it again.
